When is the Best Time to Drink My Tea?

Teacups arranged around an analogue clock

Do you drink tea round the clock? We do! But when is a good time to drink different teas?

It's important to begin your day on the right foot. A healthy breakfast and cup of tea is a great way to start the day. So for mornings, try to drink something that will gently perk you up and get you going. Ditch the coffee and its caffeine highs which bring you crashing back down anyway and go for a black tea which is a healthier low caffeine alternative. Alternatively, you could go for lemon and ginger tea, which will help give your body a healthy detox and boost.

By midday, you might be feeling a little tired after lunch and your morning spent working, instead of grabbing a sugary snack go for a tea that is light and will help digestion, like a liquorice tea. It's naturally sweet, without the calories and will help keep you alert for the rest of your day.

As the day winds down it's best to avoid any teas with caffeine otherwise you may find yourself tossing and turning at night. Go for something calming like peppermint, chamomile or lavender tea which will help you relax into a restful nights sleep.
